BUTRINT

Butrint with its hinterland constitutes an exceptional cultural landscape, which has developed organically over many centuries. Butrint has escaped aggressive development of the type that has reduced the heritage value of most historic landscapes in the Mediterranean region. It constitutes a very rare combination of archaeology and nature. The property is a microcosm of Mediterranean history, with occupation dating from 50 000 BC, at its earliest evidence, up to the 19th century AD. Discover this amazing site just 4 km from us, only a 10-minute drive by car. You can easily book a taxi or take the bus to get there.

BLUE EYE

The Blue Eye Spring is a magical place; Lonely Planet calls it: a hypnotic pool of deep blue water surrounded by electric-blue edges like the iris of an eye. This deep subsurface well, or “blue hole,” as they are often called, is breathtaking.

Reaching unknown depths, this natural spring in Albania’s Delvinë District (about 30km from us) is fed by an underground spring. Tourists travel from miles around for a glimpse of its natural beauty. Its name means “Blue Eye,” and it is mesmerizing to gaze into its portal.

CORFU

Visit the beautifully preserved Old Town of Corfu, a UNESCO world heritage site, Renaissance, Baroque and Classical “repertoire” came to be successfully applied to local artistic traditions. Palaces, fortresses, austere public buildings of the Venetian rule uniquely blend with lines of drying washing in tiny alleyways and small secluded squares. Strolling through a complex of narrow cobbled streets with stairways and vaulted passages, the so-called “kantounia”, will make you feel as if you’ve travelled to Genoa or Naples. This Greek island is only an hour boat ride from Saranda. Day trips to and from Corfu are very popular among many tourists.

BOAT TOURS

Our hotel and resort is located among many beautiful sites that are sometimes reachable only by boat. We can recommend you local agencies that offers different tours in the south. The sites below are some of the most popular once but there are many more that you can explore.
